Tourism along the Jersey Shore is booming. But as the busiest month of the season approaches, business owners say there’s a hiring crisis. “Basically every single business that directly or indirectly is involved in your vacation is under-staffed and overworked and the problem is only getting worse every day with students and teachers working summer jobs preparing to return to sports teams and the classrooms beginning in August,” said Vicki Clark, president of the New Jersey Tourism Industry Association. “Up and down the Jersey Shore tourism businesses are desperate for workers.”
